Faded after victory
In 2008, after winning the Vietnam Idol program, Quoc Thien was expected to have new steps forward in his singing career. However, luck seemed to turn its back on the former member of group N9.
After Vietnam Idol, Quoc Thien had difficulty developing his career. Despite possessing a powerful voice, he did not have any outstanding music products for a long time.
The male singer himself admitted that there was a time when he felt inferior when he was seen as a less famous champion.
The journey of overcoming "thorns" and the mark of Skynote
In 2024, Quoc Thien decided to join the show "Call Me by Fire". He showed a completely different appearance when he could do well in many fields, helping him get closer to the audience.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Quoc Thien said: "At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to participate because my work schedule at the time of filming was very tight. I had to calculate for a while before deciding to participate in the program.
As someone who loves collective environments, likes to meet and work with talented Vietnamese artists, that inspired me to decide to become one of the 33 talents.
When I was able to participate in the All-Talented Family, I felt happy and proud. With great support from the public after 'Call Me by Fire', I have more energy and motivation to perform the first Live Concert of my career."
Also in 2024, the male singer successfully organized 2 Skynote concerts in Hanoi and Da Lat with a scale of more than 8,000 audiences, reviewing his musical journey with the songs that made his name.
"I didn't think this Live Concert would be so successful. Both venues received great love and support from the audience. Everything went smoothly and had a great effect.
I am always grateful to the audience for always accompanying me. Without their support and love, there would definitely not be such a complete and emotional Live Concert.
'Call Me by Fire' and 'Skynote' are two values that I have summarized over the past year to look forward to 2025 with more energy, more projects, and better quality products. Emotion will still be the factor that I prioritize in my career," Quoc Thien shared.
Efforts recognized
This year, the male singer from Dong Nai also released two new products, "Missing you like the earth lacks the sun" and "Let me go", which received positive feedback from the audience.
After important milestones, Quoc Thien received two nominations at the Green Wave Awards - Most Favorite Male Singer/Rapper and Breakthrough Singer of the Year.
Currently, Quoc Thien is one of the most sought-after singers at tea rooms and major music events. Fans even constantly "complain" on social networks, asking the male singer to spend more time resting and paying more attention to his health.
Sharing about his plans for 2025, Quoc Thien said: "I don't like to talk much about plans for the new year because people often say 'Don't talk before you step'. I always want to bring new things, new products, the quintessence and essence of an artist to the audience.
