According to Nielsen Korea, episode 3 of "Agent Kim Reboot" broadcast on the evening of July 3rd recorded a viewership rating of 18.8%. This is the highest achievement of the film since it aired, and also helps the work continue to hold the position of short-running TV series with the highest rating in 2026.
Notably, the film is showing a rare growth momentum on the Korean screen. After opening with 9.5%, the rating increased to 15.7% in episode 2 before reaching 18.8% after only three episodes aired.
In the context of Korean drama ratings generally tending to stagnate, the fact that "Agent Kim Reboots" is approaching the 20% mark is considered a positive sign. This achievement also brings the drama close to the 20.5% level that the last episode of "Golden Age" of KBS2 achieved earlier this year.
In episode 3, Kim Do Hyun (So Ji Sub) and Sung Han Soo (Choi Dae Hoon) find their missing daughter Kim Min Ji's phone. After watching the audio recordings and messages stored in the phone, Kim Do Hyun burst into tears because he realized the loneliness that his daughter had endured for a long time.
The climax was pushed up at the end of the episode when Agent Park Kang Seong suddenly pointed a gun at Kim Do Hyun's head, closing with a situation that made the audience wait for the next development.
Not only creating attraction in Korea, "Aggent Kim Reboot" also made a mark on the international market. According to Tudum's Top 10 rankings, the film quickly rose to 3rd place in the list of non-English TV shows on Netflix just a few days after its release.
The combination of intense action scenes, the father-son love story and So Ji Sub's reappearance are helping "Agente Kim Reboot" become one of the outstanding Korean TV series this summer, and are expected to soon conquer the 20% rating milestone in the following episodes.
