According to the latest statistics from Netflix, "Life's Lesson" continues to lead the non-English TV series category, marking the fourth consecutive week holding the top 1 on the platform.
Released from June 5, the film recorded an additional 7.3 million views in the past week (as of June 29). Although decreasing compared to 11.8 million views last week, the work still maintains a stable global appeal.
Not only topping the charts, "Life's Lesson" is also the most watched program in 6 countries and territories, including Indonesia, Japan and Singapore, and also in the top 10 in 69 countries and territories.
The film revolves around the Department of Educational Rights Protection - a fictional task force with the nature of "outlaw punishment" established by the Government, aimed at restoring order in classrooms that have been ruined by rebellious students and harmful parents.
In which, the main characters include Na Hwa Jin (Kim Moo Yeol), Im Han Rim (Jin Ki Joo), Bong Geun Dae (P.O), Choi Gang Seok (Lee Sung Min).
Exploiting cases inspired by reality, combining action, humor and messages promoting the rights of victims is considered one of the reasons that helps the film create a buzz with international audiences.
Besides "Life's Lesson", many other Korean works also appeared in Netflix's top 10 non-English films this week. "Agente Kim Reboots" starring So Ji Sub premiered in 3rd place with 6.6 million views.
Meanwhile, "My Royal Enemy" continues to maintain its appeal after closing in 7th place with 2 million views, while "Notes from the Last Seat" ranked 8th with 1.6 million views.
In the category of non-English films, the action comedy "When Husbands Join Forces" rose to number 1 with 6.3 million views, up one place compared to the previous week.
