Dillan is the first contestant to say goodbye to "Tinh Ha Say Hi" after the qualifying round. On his personal page, the male singer posted a handwritten letter thanking the audience and those who have accompanied him throughout the program.
Although he could not go further, Dillan said that the time participating in the competition helped him realize his limitations, especially his ability to use Vietnamese and handle emotional songs.
Born in 2000, Dillan was trained in Korea and the United States. When returning to a Vietnamese music program, language barriers became a significant challenge for the male singer. He maintains a vocal study schedule of four sessions per week for about a year to improve his pronunciation and Vietnamese singing ability.
On the first live stage, Dillan showed the color of ballad through the song "Lonely, I'm Also Happy". In the next round, he took on the idea building for the performance "Gentleman", from the opening script to the stage image orientation. The male singer also directly performed the rope swing.
In live stage 3, Dillan participated in writing lyrics and making beats for "Tet Tinh", performing with Son. K, Jaysonlei and Dang Hong Hai. The male singer continued to try his hand at the dance battle in episode 8 and received 100 points from the judges of C2LOW.
Dillan's final performance received a lot of attention on social networks. A part of the audience expressed regret that he had to stop playing right after the highly appreciated performance.
In the program, MC Tran Thanh once advised Dillan to focus on overcoming things that scared him, from singing ballads, communicating to Vietnamese pronunciation.
Please pay attention to everything you are afraid of. If you are afraid to speak, speak a lot, if you are afraid of Vietnamese, learn to be standard," Tran Thanh said.
According to Dillan, these suggestions became a motivation for him to seriously look back at himself. The male singer sees the eight-month journey at the program as an opportunity to learn, change his performance thinking and connect with colleagues and Vietnamese audiences.
Immediately after leaving "Tinh Ha Say Hi", Dillan announced the release of his debut EP "Exclusive" on the evening of August 24. The product includes three songs, combining Y2K colors with Pop and modern R&B.
The EP was prepared by Dillan and colleagues for nearly a year, in parallel with the recording and rehearsal schedule for the program. The male singer considers the project as a thank you to fans, and also marks an independent operating period.
Dillan said that being eliminated is not the end. After the challenges at "Tinh Ha Say Hi", he wants to continue to improve his Vietnamese, develop personal music and prove his ability with subsequent products.
