The exhibition Living Heritage - Heritage for the Future and the jazz music night IMMERSED have just taken place at GEM Center, Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the attention of the public. The two activities create a space of intersection between knowledge, art and emotions, where viewers access contemporary spiritual, cultural and creative values.
The exhibition introduces works of art, calligraphy and multimedia content, recreating the life journey, thinking and contributions of Vietnamese people with international influence in many fields such as medicine, finance, art, and culture. This is also an activity of the Living Heritage project, aiming to preserve and spread the living values, knowledge and the socio-economic values of the Vietnamese community to future generations.
Within the framework of the event, the e-book "The Universal Within - The Universe of the Heart" (Vague 1) was introduced. The book includes many stories about typical Vietnamese characters working globally, emphasizing their spiritual depth, humane thinking and journey of dedication.
Many Vietnamese figures with outstanding contributions were mentioned at the exhibition, including: Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Toan Thang, a scientist in the field of regenerative medicine, the developer of umbilical cord stem cell extraction technology that has been granted patents in more than 80 countries.
Sir Niels Lan Doky (Do Ky Lan), a Vietnamese piano artist, was awarded the title of knight by the Queen of Denmark with more than 46 albums and many performances on international stages.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Phuong - filmmaker, battlefield reporter, artist and author, 96 years old, was awarded the French Bac Dau Boi Tinh knighthood Medal...
At the exhibition space, the calligraphy of the late Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh with the two Han self-reported "An tru" is introduced with the work ikebana by artist Trump Tran. The work uses a side-shaped layout and blooming flowers, evoking a balanced and quiet image, combined with the spirit of " takeing shelter" in the Zen master's philosophy.
Visitors also experience music from the C. Bechstein dan, a collection of fragrances and a lifestyle collection inspired by the project. The exhibition is open for free, creating conditions for the public to access, contemplate and spread the values of Vietnamese heritage.
