More than 90 works gather at the exhibition "Echoes of old Saigon 3

The art exhibition "The Glory of Saigon Past 3" will take place from June 10 to 16, 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, introducing more than 90 works by 54 famous painters.

According to information from the organizers, the exhibition gathers many works, giving the public the opportunity to admire works of artistic and historical value, reflecting Saigon's cultural and social life over decades.

The list of participating authors spans many generations, including familiar names such as Ta Ty, Thai Tuan, Nguyen Sao, Nguyen Van Ro, Tran Kim Hung, Duong Tuan Kiet, Georges Khanh, Kim My Yen, Ngo Viet Thu, Nguyen Tri Minh, Le Thanh Nhon, Vo Doan Giap and many other painters.

The highlight of the exhibition is the diversity of materials and creative styles. From silk paintings, oil paintings, lacquer paintings to works with a modern touch, all contribute to recreating a vibrant period of Saigon fine arts in the past.

Among the works introduced is the painting "Mái đình" by artist Doan Giap, created on silk from the 1950s. The work has a deep color tone, evoking a peaceful rural scene with images of ancient trees, roofs and a space full of nostalgia.

Another notable work is "Spring Garden" by painter Nguyen Sao, created on lacquer in the 1970s. The painting impresses with emotional visual language and warm colors, expressing the beauty of nature and people in the Southern art flow.

Besides introducing artworks, the exhibition also contributes to connecting the public with the cultural values of old Saigon through a painting perspective. Many works not only reflect the daily life, landscapes or people but also preserve the imprint of a period of special development in the history of Vietnamese fine arts.

With a scale of more than 90 works by 54 painters, "Vang bóng một thời Sài Gòn xưa 3" is expected to become a rendezvous for collectors, art lovers and the public interested in traditional artistic values.

The exhibition is also an opportunity to review the contributions of many generations of artists to Vietnamese fine arts, thereby spreading the love of art and the spirit of preserving cultural heritage to a wide audience.
