On June 9, the Criminal Court No. 1 of the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court (Korea) sentenced a man over 30 years old to 7 years in prison for robbery causing injury.
According to the verdict, the defendant broke into actress Nana's private residence at night, carrying weapons, threatening her and her mother to commit robbery.
The court said that the victims are suffering serious physical and mental injuries, and emphasized that this is a serious violation of the safety of the residential area, so a commensurate penalty is needed.
The Trial Panel also determined that the suspect carried weapons when committing the crime. This conclusion was made based on the consistent testimonies of the victims and related evidence collected by the investigating agency.
Notably, the court also confirmed that the injuries the suspect suffered stemmed from the self-defense actions of Nana and her mother during resistance.
This verdict is consistent with the previous conclusion of the police agency, thereby refuting suspicions related to the actress and her daughter controlling the suspect during the scuffle.
The incident occurred in November 2025 in Acheon-dong, Gyeonggi province, South Korea. According to police, the suspect broke into Nana's house, brought weapons and threatened the actress and her mother.
In a dangerous situation, Nana and her mother directly resisted. After a fierce struggle, the two controlled the suspect before reporting to the police at the scene.
Although successfully preventing the robbery, Nana and her mother were confirmed to have been injured in the process of resistance. SUBLIME management company said at the time that the two mothers and daughters had to be treated after the incident.
