Belonging to the romance - medical genre, "Doctor on the edge" (tentatively translated: Doctor on the remote island) tells the story of Do Ji Eui (Lee Jae Wook) - a public health doctor who is sent to Pyeondong Island (Korea), a place famous for being harsh and avoided by many people, along with Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun) - a nurse with many secrets.
After meeting on a remote island, the two gradually learn how to heal, save people and build feelings with local residents.
The new poster of the film introduces a group of characters from Pyeondong Medical Center including Do Ji Eui, Yook Ha Ri, Hyun Chi Yeon (Hong Min Ki), Uhm Jung Sun (Lee Soo Kyung) and Yong Ju Cheon (Kim Yoon Woo).
In the photo, all 5 characters stand in the middle of a green island scene but the strong wind blows their hair and clothes, partly revealing the difficulties they are about to face.
Notably, the line "Directly receive complaints 24/24" continues to increase curiosity about the chaotic life on Pyeondong Island - where young characters have to constantly solve all kinds of troubles.
According to the production crew, the film not only exploits romantic elements but also focuses on the journey of young people overcoming insecurity, building friendships and learning how to grow up in an isolated environment on the island.
Previously, Korean media assessed that one of the most anticipated points of the film was the "chemistry" between Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun - two actors of the same age.
