The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at 5:00 PM on January 30, 2025 at Hoa Binh Theater (HCMC).
This year's season is expected to both honor the quintessence of Vietnamese music and encourage new creations, contributing to the formation of the cultural industry of Ho Chi Minh City.
The nomination list of Green Wave 2025 shows a multi-colored music picture, where products with a folk - traditional breath have fair competition with modern trends.
In the category of Phenomenal Song and Song of the Year, "Bac bling (Bac Ninh)" (Tuan Cry – Hoa Minzy – Xuan Hinh) and "Continuing a Peace Story" (Nguyen Van Chung – Nguyen Duyen Quynh) stood out thanks to their strong spreading ability, while "What's More Beautiful" by Nguyen Hung or "Magic" by MAYDAYs represented a generation of young artists with rich creative energy.
The race in professional categories is also considered tense as many nominations are of equal quality. The producer of the year recognized the presence of names with clear imprints in the past year such as DTAP (album Made in Vietnam), Masew (“North bling"), SlimV (SOOBIN Live Concert: All-rounder) or JustaTee with large-scale entertainment projects.
In the mixing and arranging segment, the diversity in musical approach is expressed through mixes combining folk and modern materials such as "Phong nu x Co doi thuong ngan" or "Muc nha vo nhan".
The individual artist categories continue to attract great attention. Breakthrough singers witnessed competition between Phuong My Chi, MIN, Tung Duong, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu and Huong Tram - faces with clear progress in 2025.
Meanwhile, the race for Male Singer/Rapper of the Year and Female Singer/Rapper of the Year gathers many familiar names such as SOOBIN, Duc Phuc, Quang Hung MasterD, Dong Nhi, Hoa Minzy, Van Mai Huong, showing differentiation but also very uniform in influence.
Notably, the Organizing Committee decided to award the Green Wave Achievement Award to diva Hong Nhung and singer Quang Linh, to honor their persistent and long-term contributions to Vietnamese music. This is considered a symbolic connection between generations of artists, in line with the spirit of "The Dragon and the Fairy" that Green Wave 2025 aims for.
With a diverse and quality nomination system, Lan Song Xanh 2025 is expected to continue to be a measure of the prestige of the Vietnamese music market, while clearly reflecting the trend of combining traditional identity and modern creative thinking in the new development phase.
