Adapted from the NY Times best-selling book of the same name, the movie “It ends with us” made a box office record of 334 million USD worldwide, 12 times the production budget.
Director Justin Baldoni's brainchild became the highest-grossing romantic drama in the past 6 years, after "A star is born" (2018).
The appeal of “It ends with us” comes largely from the touching story of love and the journey of healing, alongside the excellent performance of beauty Blake Lively.

The film tells the story of Lily Bloom (Blake Lively) starting a new life in Boston. Here, she accidentally meets and falls in love with surgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni). The two fall deeply in love and get married.
Then one day, Lily's first love - Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar) suddenly returns, turning her life upside down. Atlas' presence causes Lily's life to be in turmoil, especially when Ryle begins to suspect and become unreasonably jealous.

Although he loves his wife very much, Ryle often shows violent tendencies and cannot control his anger. This reminds Lily of the memories she always wanted to bury in the past, when she lived in a wealthy but unhappy family, having to witness her mother being abused by her father.
The work does not follow a linear order, but is a clever interweaving of reality and the past. With each time slice of time that is revealed, Lily Bloom's journey to find happiness has new events.
It is this flexible storytelling that contributes to creating many interesting and surprising points for the romantic film.
The movie “It ends with us” is now showing in theaters nationwide.
