Set in the underworld with gangs vying for power, "Big Boss Ha Ha Ha" makes a difference by not telling the story of winning the boss's seat in a traditional way. On the contrary, the film revolves around a "campaign to avoid the position" that is both funny and sad. After the old boss suddenly passed away, three bright candidates, Soon Tae, Kang Pyo and Pan Ho, all tried to... fail in the election, hoping to stay away from the risky power position. However, all calculations quickly went out of control, leading to a series of ironic and chaotic situations.
The comedy pieces are built from the contrast of personality, unexpected "turns" and fast film pace, interspersed with many enough action scenes, creating a gentle but not monotonous entertainment feeling.
One of the quality assurance factors of "Dai ca ha ha ha" is the Korean cast familiar to the audience. The trio Jo Woo Jin, Jung Kyung Ho and Park Ji Hwan are considered the "trump cards" of Korean comedy films, while Lee Sung Min - who once made a strong impression with the image of a big shot on the small screen - continues to bring new, more humorous colors on the big screen.
Notably, besides the original film, "Dai ca ha ha ha" also has a Vietnamese dubbed version with the participation of familiar artists. Hoai Linh plays the role of boss Lim Dae Soo, while Thai Hoa, Le Duong Bao Lam and Mac Van Khoa contribute voices to the three "boss" candidates with charm.
