On August 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Miss Cosmo organizing committee announced the plan to organize the 2026 season. Vietnam continues to host the third year contest, with a series of activities combining beauty, fashion, culture and tourism promotion.
According to the organizers, more than 90 countries and territories have registered to participate. The representative of Vietnam is Do Cam Ly. At the press conference, 17 Miss Cosmo 2026 contestants from Thailand, Malta, Mexico, Cuba, China, South Africa, Japan, Indonesia, Cambodia and many other countries appeared together.
This year's contest is themed "Vietnam - Festination". The name is combined from three words Festival, Destination and Nation, aiming to introduce Vietnam as a festival destination rich in identity.
The journey is expected to take place from December 25, 2026 to January 16, 2027. Contestants will go through Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Ca Mau, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa. Besides competing activities, they will experience local culture and life and introduce their national identity.
Some notable programs include traditional costume competitions, Cosmo Green Summit, Hello Cosmo From Vietnam, Best of Vietnam and World T.E. A Fest. Among them, the Ao Dai program is expected to recount prominent festivals in the world in the Vietnamese design language.
Khanh Hoa is the venue for the two most important activities. The Jury Session direct evaluation round takes place on January 13, 2027. The final will be held on January 16, 2027 at Nha Trang World Tea Resort on Tri Nguyen Island.
The format of the competition has also been adjusted to increase competitiveness. If the number of contestants exceeds 85 people, the organizers will conduct a selection round to determine the Top 25, instead of the Top 21 as planned. In the final, contestants will compete through the Top 21, Top 10, Top 5 and Top 2 respectively.
The winner of Cosmo Green Summit is specially admitted to the Top 21. This competition focuses on evaluating thinking, communication skills, creativity and projects that have a positive impact on the community.
The new Miss Cosmo 2026 receives a rotating crown for one year, 100,000 USD along with other prizes. The runner-up receives 10,000 USD. The contest also awarded eight sub-prizes, including the Most Influential Beauty, Female Leadership Spirit, Tourism Promotion Ambassador and Most Favorite Beauty.
