The event marks the milestone of launching the 75th Miss World journey - a season commemorating one of the oldest and most prestigious beauty contests in the world. According to the plan, the contest activities will take place from August to September 2026 in many localities of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening of the event, director Hoang Nhat Nam said he was honored that Vietnam was chosen to host the special season of Miss World.
According to him, Miss World is not only a beauty contest but also a journey connecting culture, compassion and community values with the spirit of "Beauty With A Purpose" - "Beauty for a noble purpose".

At the press conference, the organizers officially announced the first destinations of Miss World 2026 including Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau area.
According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City will be the venue for outstanding activities such as "Dance Of The World" and the final night of Miss World 2026. Meanwhile, Hai Phong hosts a number of accompanying activities, while Vung Tau becomes a venue for many cultural and tourism promotion programs.
Director Hoang Nhat Nam also thanked strategic partners, local authorities and Miss World organization for trusting and choosing Vietnam for the 75th anniversary season.
Within the framework of the event, the organizers announced the lineup of ambassadors accompanying Miss World in Vietnam including Do My Linh, Do Thi Ha, Huynh Tran Y Nhi and many other beauty queens and runners-up.
Sharing at the press conference, Miss World President Julia Morley said that she always has special feelings for Vietnam.
I love the people of Vietnam and am very happy that Miss World 2026 is held here," she said, while expecting more than 130 representatives from around the world to spread the humanistic values of the contest.
Defending Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri also expressed her excitement about her journey in Vietnam and wished to promote the image of Vietnamese culture and people to international friends.
One of the highlights of the press conference was the ceremony of donating more than 1,000 book titles to the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space under the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union with a total value of 100 million VND.
According to the organizers, at Miss World 2026, each contestant will bring a children's book representing their national culture to give to Vietnamese children. The activity is expected to become a bridge for knowledge, language and cultural identity exchange between countries.
On this occasion, the organizers also introduced the companion series "Her Journey To Vietnam", revolving around the journey of more than 130 international representatives before Miss World 2026 in Vietnam.
