Talking to MC Minh Duc in the VTV9 multi-dimensional Glass program, singer My Le revealed that she met musician Trinh Cong Son when she was a fourth-year student at Hue University of Music.
One time Trinh Cong Son and his crew came to Hue to perform the live show "The Song Goes Along the Year", My Le participated in the musician's music night, standing on the same stage with many big names such as diva Hong Nhung, Thanh Lam...
My Le recalled: At that time, I was just a student and it was a great honor to be a part of such a big program. The two songs I sang that day were "Ode tru" and "Lang le ai nay".
When I finished singing, the whole audience applauded a lot. My singing before many star singers and creating my own mark, has attracted the attention of musician Trinh Cong Son and his family.
Thanks to that music night, I was later sponsored by his family, creating conditions and encouraging me a lot when I set foot in Ho Chi Minh City to start a business."
After graduating from Hue University of Music, singer My Le decided to "March forward" to Ho Chi Minh City, receiving much help from musician Trinh Cong Son's family, when she was given the opportunity to perform at Trinh bar every night.
My Le often chooses to sing Trinh Cong Son's songs. Even in big shows like "Duyen Dang Viet Nam" or other music shows, she chose to perform songs by musician Trinh Cong Son, partly because she loved him, partly because she was grateful for the help of the musician's family.
One of the memories that My Le cannot forget is the tour with the late musician in Singapore on a Lunar New Year. Among many singers at that time, My Le was chosen by the musician to accompany overseas Vietnamese.
That trip left the female singer from the Central region with many beautiful memories when she visited the park with the musician, enjoying the specialties of the lion island and the overseas Vietnamese.
In particular, musician Trinh Cong Son also painted a portrait for singer My Le, which she still cherishes and preserves.
The singer from Quang Binh shared: "To have a painting by musician Trinh Cong Son is a very lucky thing, not everyone has such an opportunity, so I keep the painting as a precious memory".
