Facing the challenge of how to portray the tragedy of Alzheimer's patients on the big screen, female artist Hong Dao diligently researched and carefully researched the character by asking people around her who have relatives with Alzheimer's disease and professional doctors. She shared: "Each stage, the patient will show a different symptom. Hong Dao cannot be compared to 100% of memory loss patients in each person's home.
But I will try to express the image of a patient in the most similar way to what I have learned through medicine and patients. However, the disease is set in the film just to show viewers the affection between mother and child, the filial piety of the child towards the mother with the disease.
During the film's release, artist Hong Dao also surprised the audience when she sang the popular song "Le Dak" - the theme melody throughout "dua me di bo", which is also a song associated with the character Le Thi Hanh played by her. This is the first time the "dark" female artist sang in public, bringing a moment that was both rustic and emotional in the performance.
First time collaborating with the Korean crew, Tuan Tran frankly shared that he was quite worried when he learned that the director was Korean, the language barrier would hinder the dialogue from being relevant and close to Vietnam.
However, director Mo hong Jin said, "for me, cinema only has one language", which made Tuan Tran completely convinced and believed in the qualifications and professionalism of the Korean crew.
Tuan Tran added: This is also a rare script that made me cry every time I read it, the detailed script is very good, describing how the character struggles psychologically when taking away his mother. From then on, the character Hoan gave me many emotions, that is a character that I conquered to the end.

Talking about the "screen mother and daughter" who are destined to be with female artist Hong Dao, Tuan Tran revealed that he once begged the producer to invite artist Hong Dao to play the role of a mother in the film "Bringing mother away". If in the Mai film, the "mother and daughter" had to start getting to know each other because it was their first collaboration, then in this second collaboration, Tuan Tran immediately connected with "Miss Hong Dao" from the script reading together.
I was very lucky to be able to act with Hong Daos mother, and in her eyes, I exuded the appearance of a seriously ill person. If in Mai, Sau and Mrs. Dao, there is a conflict over the love of a child, then in the film "Bringing mother away" is a struggle for both mother and child to see whether they should stay with the other person or not, bringing a very different feeling", Tuan Tran shared.
