Continuing the journey to explore Vietnam's rural areas, episode 5 of the program "Return to the countryside to get rich" brought the audience to Hai Duong, where Ngo Lan Huong experienced growing rice for the first time with many surprises.
From the first minutes, the audience was delighted with a series of unique images of Mo Trach village gate, Mo Trach Temple, Ti Do village communal house, Bach Dang lake and Hai Duong museum, as a vivid introduction to the prosperous land of Chu Dong.
In this journey to Hai Duong, the artists including MC Quyen Linh, actor Long Vu and Thu Ha Ceri continue to accompany with an excited spirit. The memorable moment was when the familiar melody of the song "Di giua troi ruc ro" suddenly rang out.
While all three artists were still nervous about who the mysterious singer was, Long Vu and Thu Ha Ceri realized that the owner of the main voice was Ngo Lan Huong.
Under the ancient communal house roof, artists eagerly followed each graceful move of the traditional water puppet performance, while listening to proud stories about the craft village that has existed for more than 400 years.
According to Mr. Pham Khac Xoa - Head of the water puppet troupe of Thanh Hai commune, the water puppet art here originated in the 17th century, under the Later Le Dynasty. Up to now, Thanh Hai puppet village has a history of hundreds of years. Despite changing times and circumstances, generations of artisans are always dedicated to preserving and spreading their passion for this unique form of folk art.
One of the most memorable parts is the rice planting challenge in the field. Under the guidance of skilled farmers, the two teams entered the rice growing competition by hand in cold weather. Although tired, they understand that planting is an indispensable job for people born and raised in rice agriculture. For urban people, this is a valuable experience.
As soon as she set foot in the field, singer Ngo Lan Huong appeared confused. The soft layer of mud made her waver, almost falling from the first steps. She had to hold each step down to the ground, trying to balance each step. Moving between rice fields becomes a difficult challenge for the female singer who is used to the stage.
Episode 5 "Return to the countryside to get rich" was broadcast on HTV7.
