Set a year after the confrontation with the ghost Nak Tinn in part 4, the duo Balloon and First continue to fall into the pursuit of another Pee Nak spirit. However, this time the target is no longer them but Little Nott and his relatives around him.
According to revelations from the producer, the new film will expand the story more emotionally when exploiting the theme of family affection, especially sibling relationships, instead of just focusing on friendship as in previous parts.
Returning in part 5 is still the familiar cast that has created the brand for the series, including Aim Witthawat, James Bhuripat, Mean Phiravich and Tar Atiwat. Notably, the character Aod played by Pond Khunnapat also reappears after being absent from the previous part.
The characteristic of the series is still maintained when director Mike Phontharis continues to choose a male god to play the ghost Pee Nak. In this part, the central ghost character is assigned to Kuan Denkhun. The actor is known to Vietnamese audiences through the films "Lồng nghiệp chướng" or "Ngược dòng thời gian để yêu anh 2".
Not only attracting attention with horror-comedy elements, the movie "Monster Temple 5" also continues to exploit Thai folk culture through the legend of the Naga snake god. The film combines many scary situations with characteristic humorous segments, while incorporating messages about family cohesion and sacrifice.
After its release in its home country, the film quickly achieved a revenue of more than 70 million Baht, equivalent to about 57 billion VND, further affirming the appeal of the leading comedy ghost brand in Thailand.
In addition to the content, the film also attracted attention with the participation of Nont Intanont - a face that once caused a stir on social networks after a moment of intimacy with Film Thanapat actor at the Songkran festival in April.
The movie Monster Temple 5 will have early screenings from 6 pm on May 28 before officially premiering in Vietnam from May 29, 2026.
