The movie project "Red Land" - a work inspired by the life of female hero Vo Thi Sau. The highlight is the meaningful return of NSND Thanh Thuy, who once transformed into the classic film "Red Land Girl" in 1994.
According to producer Hoang Quan, the crew had many exchanges with People's Artist Thanh Thuy during the project development process. However, the specific role of the female artist in the new film version is still kept secret. Her companionship is seen as an emotional bridge between the previous generation of revolutionary films and today's young audience.
Not only that, the song "Biet on Chi Vo Thi Sau" which was once associated with NSND Thanh Thuy's name in old films will also reappear in "Dat Do". The crew said that many new songs with a contemporary breath will be brought into the film to create connection with Gen Z audiences.

Dat Do" was cherished for 7 years by director Le Van Kiet and producer Nguyen Cao Tung. The project aims to recreate the portrait of Vo Thi Sau in modern, fierce but still emotional cinematic language. The film not only focuses on war but also delves into the journey of maturity, harsh choices and the indomitable spirit of a young woman in wartime.
According to the plan, the movie "Red Land" will start filming in the third quarter of 2026 and be released in theaters in 2027, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the death of martyr Vo Thi Sau. The film is expected to contribute to spreading patriotism and historical values to the young generation with a close and emotional cinematic language.
