Kris said that the idea to implement the project originated from a chance encounter witnessing Hoai Nhan quietly leaving the stage after the show. That moment moved him and made him determined to support the male singer's comeback after many years of interrupting artistic activities.
According to the producer, the biggest goal is not to create a temporary product but to help Hoai Nhan build a sustainable career with his own ability. "I want to give a fishing rod, not a fish," Kris shared about the direction of accompanying his close friend.
To complete "Light in My Heart", the crew spent nearly a year preparing from searching for songs, building scripts to recording and producing. The two songs chosen are "Thuong nguon nuoc mat" and "Cu ngu la chan ai" composed by musician Bang Tinh.
Kris revealed that Hoai Nhan had re-recorded many times as requested by the crew. Even in the first recordings, the pressure to perform well caused the male singer to lose his voice. However, with perseverance and determination, he completed the recording that was considered emotional and in line with the spirit of the work.
One of the highlights of the project is the participation of People's Artist Kim Xuan and Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc. According to Kris, despite a tight work schedule, both artists agreed to participate because of their empathy for Hoai Nhan's journey of overcoming difficulties.
The producer said that the crew had a meeting lasting more than 5 hours to find the most suitable approach, both ensuring artistry and conveying a humane message in the "Light in My Heart" project.
Through the project, Kris wants to send a voice about understanding, the right to love and overcome social prejudices. He expects the audience to recognize Hoai Nhan not only as a visually impaired singer but also as a talented artist, capable of conquering new challenges in the profession.
After 8 years of temporary suspension of artistic activities, Hoai Nhan's return with "Light in My Heart" is receiving many positive feedbacks from the audience.
