This is a work by the Ho Chi Minh City Art Center, invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. The play is also considered one of the key art projects towards the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026).
With a duration of about 70 minutes, "Mo show" tells the story of a child's journey of maturity from birth to exploring the world around them. From the first feelings of light, color, sound to the process of recognizing emotions and approaching art, all are expressed in a richly figurative stage language.
The special feature of the work lies in the combination of many types of performances. Puppetry plays a leading role in the storyline, while circus is used to depict the aspirations to conquer and transcend limits. In addition, mapping projection technology contributes to creating a vivid visual space, supporting visual storytelling.
According to the production crew, "Mo show" gathers more than 100 domestic and foreign artists participating in performances. Art forces from many specialties such as circus, puppetry, dance troupes and choirs appear on stage, creating a large-scale work rarely seen in recent times.
The script part is played by Tran Tri, while Duong Thao holds the role of general director. Cong Nguyen is in charge of circus directing and the duo Tri Duc - Thu Thuy are in charge of puppetry directing.
Not only is it a new performance program, "Mo show" is also expected to contribute to shaping the operation of Phu Tho Multi-purpose Circus and Performance in the early stages of operation. This project is considered one of the modern art performance spaces of Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to organize large-scale programs and serve a diverse audience.
According to the plan, "Mo show" will have three performances for guests and delegates on the evening of June 12 and two mornings on June 13 and 14. From June 20, the program will officially open ticket sales to serve the public.
The launch of "Mo show" is expected to bring more entertainment choices to city audiences, while contributing to enriching artistic life and promoting the development of creative performing products in the cultural industry.
