On February 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Writers' Association announced the 2026 Vietnam Poetry Day program with the theme "The Call of a New City". When Binh Duong and Ba Ria Vung Tau were merged, Ho Chi Minh City became a super city that continued to innovate and create innovation inspiration. Ho Chi Minh City's poetry also uttered the call of a new city, accompanying the spiritual life of Ho Chi Minh City people.

This year's Poetry Day takes place in three days, February 27-28 and March 1, with a series of unique activities, fostering poetic inspiration for the public.
The seminar "Poetic City" took place at 9:00 AM on February 27, exchanging about the characteristics of Ho Chi Minh City's poetry. At the same time, proposing solutions to make poetry popular and translated internationally, when the Government has issued Resolution 350 encouraging literary development. The seminar gathered many familiar faces of many generations of poetry writers and researchers.
Translated poetry exhibition "Tree of the Soul" starts from the morning of February 28: Introducing poetry works translated into English, French, Chinese, Korean, Japanese... Exchange with translators.
Poetry camp: Introducing 36 poetry camps of clubs in Ho Chi Minh City, including clubs in Binh Duong and Ba Ria Vung Tau before. The poetry camp takes place from the afternoon of February 28th to the end of March 1st, exchanges between clubs, awards for impressive poetry camps and impressive performances.
Poetry Road: Exhibition of 12 posters, with 12 typical authors through 40 years of national renovation such as Che Lan Vien, White Bird, Nguyen Thai Son, Le Xuan Do, Trieu Tu Truyen, Nguyen Vu Tiem, Nguyen Thi Anh Huynh, Thanh Nguyen, Le Huy Mau...
The poetry and music program "The Call of a New City" took place on Sunday morning (March 1), performing poems and songs set to poems by Tram Huong, Hoang Quy, Cat Du, Tran Duc Tin, Tran Mai Huong...
