On the afternoon of September 10, the leader of Huong Pho Commune People's Committee said that the locality had just coordinated with the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment to organize the announcement of the decision to recognize Vietnam heritage trees for 2 agarwood trees at Khoai Vang Temple.
The two ancient agarwood trees at Khoai Vac Temple are estimated to be over 200 years old; in which kilometre 1 has a circumference of 2.7m, 8m high, canopy of 9m, and 2 branches. Tree No. 2 has a circumference of 3.7m, is 11m high, has an area of 11.5m, has 8 branches, all of which are developing well.

According to the village elders, the two agarwood trees are not only a biological treasure but also have great spiritual value, and are valued and preserved by the people as the sacred tree of Khoai Vac Temple.
The tree canopy is high, providing shade all year round, a place that is associated with the memories of many generations, and at the same time contributes significantly to the conservation of biodiversity.
With an age of over 200 years, associated with the spiritual, belief and historical life of the community, the two incense trees are honored to be recognized by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment as Vietnam heritage trees.
