On the evening of February 21, the special art program "Heroic Mountains and Waters" celebrating the 237th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory took place in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program is staged like a stage epic, recreating the historical milestone of Ky Dau spring 1789, when Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue led the Tay Son army to advance rapidly from Phu Xuan to the North, defeating the Thanh invaders and winning a decisive victory at Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da, restoring Thang Long capital to Dai Viet. The spirit of uprising and the will for national independence are depicted through scenes, lyrics and traditional music.
The highlight of the program is the participation of many famous Cai Luong artists such as People's Artist Thanh Ngan, Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long, Meritorious Artist Le Tu, Meritorious Artist Lam Tuyen... With a powerful singing and acting style, the artists fully conveyed historical emotions, contributing to highlighting the message of patriotism and national pride.
The excerpts of Cai Luong combined with dance, chorus and skits received many rounds of applause from the audience.




Besides traditional artistic elements, the program also impresses thanks to the application of LED panorama projection technology, modern stage graphics and invested sound and lighting systems. Battle images, lightning-fast troops or triumphal moments are vividly recreated, creating a magnificent visual space, helping audiences easily feel the heroic historical atmosphere.
Audience member Luu Thuy Anh Tuyet (Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City) shared with Lao Dong Newspaper that she had only known about the program a day earlier but still arranged to come to see it. According to her, the stage is beautifully invested, the performing artists are full of emotions, making viewers even more proud of the nation's history and cherish traditional values.
