The Iron Veins project not only marks a new step in the young male artist's musical journey but also opens up opportunities to connect regional audiences through the common language of music.
Guitarist and musician Shumo AG has just officially released the song Iron Veins, his first international collaboration project with Batas Senja - a band that is having great influence in the Indonesian market.
Batas Senja is a familiar name to Indonesian young music lovers thanks to their emotional ballads about love, loss and willpower. The group currently has a large number of listeners on digital platforms. Among them, the song Nanti Kita Seperti Ini reached nearly 500 million streams on Spotify, while Kita Biayakan Lagi once created a strong effect on YouTube and TikTok.

According to sharing from Shumo AG, the cooperation opportunity originated from his persistent composing journey. With a well-trained background in guitar, vocals and composing, the young artist gradually built his own mark through products imbued with the breath of classical Pop Rock. These music contents received attention from the Indonesian music-loving community, helping him have the opportunity to connect with Batas Senja members.
After listening to Shumo AG's compositions, the Indonesian band expressed special interest in Iron Veins. It was the resonance in emotions and musical thinking that led the two sides to the decision to jointly develop the song into a joint project.
Iron Veins has a special meaning for Shumo AG when using the image of "iron veins" as a metaphor for the emotional thyroid that humans create after injuries in life. According to the male artist, it is both a mechanism to protect oneself and can become a barrier that keeps people away from their true emotions.
Writing this song is my way of admitting that I don't want to just stop at surviving anymore. I want to really live, really feel and open my heart to everyone," Shumo AG shared.
The project implementation process lasted more than three months with many exchanges and experiments. Initially, the song was built in Rock Ballad style, but was later adjusted to Folk-Pop Ballad direction as proposed by Batas Senja. This change helps the song get closer to Indonesian audiences while still maintaining the original spirit.
Through this project, Shumo AG said that he learned many lessons about minimalism in music, patience and the value of sincere emotions.
