The film is inspired by the real life journey of Sir Daniel K. Winn - painter, sculptor, businessman and producer; the film is directed by Jordan Schulz, with production coordination between TNA Entertainment (entertainment company...), and international partners, gathering famous actors at home and abroad such as: Kieu Chinh, Sir Daniel K. Winn, actor Truong Ngoc Anh, Samuel An, Tien Pham, Lan Thy, Phi Phung, Hieu Hien and child actor Uy Nhan.
Sir Daniel K. Winn shared about the film project: chrysalis is not just my story, but the story of anyone who has ever found themselves amidst the upheavals of life. I am very grateful to be able to tell that story in cinematic language, in my hometown where I was born - Vietnam.
Chrysalis explores the theme of the fallen, the loss and the journey of human regeneration in modern society...
Producer - actor Truong Ngoc Anh shared about the pressure when implementing the Chrysalis project: “The biggest pressure is how to go through these films, the audience will understand the life of artist Winn. When the project is still on paper, we imagine it very different but when on the set, sitting in front of the screen, all the dreams, the past, the memories of Sir Daniel K. WINN have come back.
All from the director, filming and even the crew recreated his memories. There are tears that have fallen... That is our pressure".
