This time, actor Vinh Rau took on the main role, directly participating in scriptwriting, production and trying his hand at the director position for the first time.
In a conversation with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Vinh Rau said that school dramas have always been a special mark in FAPTV's journey, a "youth gift" that has been with many audiences since the group's first days of debut.
After stabilizing their activities, he and the members decided to restart the series right on the occasion of Tet - the time when he believes that the audience will have a gentle mind, ready to enjoy pure youth stories.
Although it has to run in parallel with the project "People in the schoolyard" and the series of episodes "Cold Com" especially for the Tet season, Vinh Rau said this is the right time to express gratitude for the public's waiting.

The production team of this film does not entirely come from within FAPTV. Vinh Rau shared that he had to "ment away from many places", asking friends and colleagues to connect to build a new crew. This both creates challenges and gives him the opportunity to experiment with the director's perspective.
In addition to the familiar faces of FAPTV, the project also has the participation of young actors who have been with the group for the past few years. He believes that the blend of the old and new cast will help the spirit of school films continue to be kept intact.

When asked about the absence of some key faces, Vinh Rau said that FAPTV audiences are used to personnel changes over time. This helps him feel confident that this comeback will still maintain the inherent attraction.
Regarding content, Vinh Rau emphasized that FAPTV did not choose a direction based on scandals. He said that the group has maintained the same spirit since the first day of producing school films: the story must be fair, not encourage school violence and not "dirty" the image of students. Despite its action direction, the film The People in the School yard still separates the school world from the social world outside.
When talking about being often given supporting roles, Vinh Rau affirmed that he was not upset. He sees every role, whether big or small, as an opportunity to express the character's soul. For him, the most important thing is to make the audience remember him with charm and sincerity, even when the film is not complete.
