The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Da Nang City Police has just coordinated with the An Hai Ward Youth Union and Nguyen Van Cu Secondary School, Cao Thang Secondary School, Le Do Secondary School, Phan Boi Chau Secondary School to organize training sessions on cybersecurity skills for nearly 500 students.
In the context of students accessing the internet and social networks more and more early and frequently, risks such as online scams, fake news, malicious links, personal data theft or improper behavior online are no longer unfamiliar. Many situations can start from a strange message, a friend request, an unverified post or the habit of sharing personal information too easily.

At the training sessions, officials of the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department guided students on practical skills: account security, personal information protection, fake news recognition, vigilance against social network scams, civilized behavior in cyberspace and how to handle bad and toxic content.
The atmosphere of the training sessions was exciting. Many students boldly shared that they had received messages from strange accounts, encountered links of unclear origin or encountered confusing information on social networks. From those specific stories, the police force guided them on how to calmly handle it, not to rush to click on strange links, not to provide passwords, authentication codes, personal photos and need to immediately report to family and teachers when detecting unusual signs.
In the coming time, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Da Nang City Police will continue to coordinate with educational institutions to promote propaganda and disseminate knowledge about information security, contributing to building a safe, healthy and responsible network environment for students.
