When the "golden ticket" named scholarship becomes a great hope for many young people
Mai Xuan Hieu - a 12th grade student at FPT Quy Nhon High School, stands at the threshold of university with more concerns than initially planned. His family's learning path was determined early, but the closer to the graduation exam, the more obvious and burdensome the cost problem becomes.
Hieu recounted that his family used to spend all their savings to pursue a better learning environment for him. The first two years were manageable, but by the final year, the financial resources were almost gone. "At one point, the family had to sell valuable assets to continue maintaining their studies" - Hieu expressed.

Hieu shared that his father is currently a hired driver, and his mother is at home, her career is unstable, whoever hires him will do whatever they want. Unstable income makes Hieu's university study plan a big question, even though he has good academic performance and a clear career orientation.
In that situation, Hieu began to look for financial support opportunities such as scholarships to be able to continue pursuing Multimedia Communications - a field he wants to stick with for a long time.
Not only Hieu, many other students also see scholarships as an opportunity to enter an environment that can help them develop further. Huynh Nguyen Anh Phuong - a student at Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted (Can Tho) - said that she learns about scholarship programs not only because of the cost factor but also because she wants to try her hand in an environment with many experiences. "I want to access bigger opportunities to develop myself" - Phuong said.
Not only supporting tuition fees but also giving the right to choose the future
Reality shows that for many students, university costs are increasingly affecting their choices. Good academic performance is not necessarily enough to study in the desired major or school.
In that context, scholarships are not only rewards for achievements but also help reduce financial pressure, opening up more choices for students and families. At FPT University, scholarship programs are designed in the direction of comprehensive support, not only based on scores but also assessing capacity through projects, activities and development orientation of learners.
In addition to tuition fee support, many scholarship categories are also associated with practical experience opportunities, connecting with businesses and a highly applicable learning environment. This helps scholarships not only solve financial problems, but also become a "springboard" for learners to develop their abilities in the context of a rapidly changing labor market.
For example, with the program "Searching for Talents in the Digital Age of Vietnam" of FPT University, it is both financial support and designed as a comprehensive investment program for people.
In parallel with scholarship programs, regional financial support policies are also being implemented to directly address cost barriers for many students.

In 2026, the school also applies a policy of supporting 30% of full course tuition fees for students in region 1 - groups belonging to ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, border areas and islands. In addition, some regional support policies at training institutions are also being implemented, contributing to significantly reducing learning costs throughout the course.
In addition to policies for KV1 students, the school also implements tuition fee support programs by region to expand access to higher education between regions.
