In particular, a particularly serious road traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1 at 1:50 a.m. on July 25 when the driver was speeding, leading to loss of control and overturning a passenger bus with license plate 43F - 00776 in Song Tri ward, killing 10 people and injuring 15 others.
After the accident, the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Tinh Province Police prosecuted and temporarily detained the bus driver, Le Ngoc Thanh (born in 1989, residing in Thanh Hoa Province) for the act of "Violating regulations on road traffic".
According to the report, from December 15, 2024 to now, the whole province of Ha Tinh has 160 deaths and 125 injuries due to traffic accidents. Of which, the number of deaths increased by 8.1%.
Immediately after the particularly serious traffic accident that killed 10 people and injured 15 people, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province held a meeting to propose solutions to control and reduce traffic accidents.
