Regarding the particularly serious traffic accident that killed 10 people in the early morning of July 25 in Ha Tinh province, Da Nang City authorities confirmed that passenger bus 43F-007.76 - the vehicle causing the accident - had its transportation badge revoked from July 16, 2025 and was no longer legally operating on fixed routes or contract vehicles.
Mr. Dang Nam Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City - said: "Since the badge was revoked, the city's authorities have not reissued the badge in any form to this passenger car. Using vehicles for transportation business is not in accordance with regulations".

The Da Nang Bus Station Transport and Management Joint Stock Company also confirmed that the 43F-007.76 passenger bus used to operate on a fixed route at Da Nang Bus Station, but it has been inaccessible for a long time. "This vehicle is no longer on the list of vehicles operating at the wharf, and is not managed by us," said Mr. Pham Loi - General Director of the company.
Previously, the catastrophic accident occurred at 2:10 a.m. on July 25, at Km571+800 National Highway 1A, passing through Song Tri Ward, Ha Tinh Province. A sleeper bus with license plate 43F-007.76 of Tan Kim Chi bus company, running on the Hanoi - Da Nang route, driven by driver Le Ngoc Thanh (born in 1989, residing in Thanh Hoa province), suddenly crashed into a milestone on the side of the road and overturned.
At the time of the accident, there were 28 people on the bus, including the driver, bus assistant and 26 passengers (including 1 child under 7 years old). As a result, 10 people died (7 people died on the spot, 3 people died at the hospital), 18 people were injured.
Pursuant to Clause 12, Article 22 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP, it is clearly stipulated: Vehicles with revoked badges are not allowed to participate in transportation business activities. Thus, passenger bus 43F-007.76 violated regulations while still traveling and carrying passengers on the route.
Ha Tinh Provincial Police are coordinating with relevant forces to urgently investigate the cause of the accident, clarifying the responsibility of relevant parties in allowing unqualified vehicles to continue operating.
