Within the framework of the investment and labor promotion trip to Japanese localities, on the afternoon of October 10, the Long An Provincial Delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An Province - held a workshop on labor promotion between Long An Province (Vietnam) and Okayama City (Japan).

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Matsuda Hisashi - Chairman of the Okayama City Industry and Commerce Association - said that in 2023, the Long An province delegation also visited Okayama city and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in April 2024. The delegation of the Okayama City Industry and Commerce Association also visited a number of production facilities and was very impressed with the development potential and infrastructure of Long An International Port.
According to Mr. Matsuda Hisashi, currently, the labor situation in Japan is in shortage, while Long An province has a young and skilled labor force, so in the coming time, it is very necessary to have the support of Long An province leaders and businesses to send workers to work in Japan to contribute to increasing the shortage of human resources working at factories in Okayama city.

On behalf of the leaders of Long An province, Mr. Pham Thai Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - informed: Long An province's workers are characterized by diligence, hard work, eagerness to learn, and quick acquisition of scientific and technical knowledge and professional skills. In general, Long An province's human resources not only maintain a reasonable growth rate in quantity but also improve significantly in quality, which is a premise for improving human resources in the coming time.
At the workshop, the two sides also discussed issues of mutual concern and wished to better meet them, especially skilled labor resources. Long An province always respects and is ready to welcome and create favorable conditions for investors and businesses needing to recruit workers from Okayama city, Japan.

On the same afternoon, the delegation of Long An province also paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Okayama City - Mr. Omori Masao. At the reception, the Mayor of Okayama City was very pleased to say that these were signs of interest in developing cooperation between the two sides since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2024.
The Mayor of Okayama City highly appreciated the human resources that Long An Province is capable of sending to work at Okayama City's enterprises. Mr. Omori Masao also said that after his visit to Long An in 2023, there is a lot of potential for cooperation between the two sides in areas of interest.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An province - expressed his thanks to Mayor Omori Masao, and shared about the areas of cooperation between the two sides in the coming time as well as the infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters to meet the needs of Okayama province's investors to operate in Long An.
