On December 19, technology start-up Phygital Labs and Hue College announced the copyright of "Document Self-Authentication Software" that applies identification technology to authenticate real and fake documents and diplomas.
The self-authentication software applies Nomion technology solution to interact with NFC/RFID chip to identify and easily identify documents as originals, to serve the needs of looking up diplomas and certificates of individuals and organizations as well as serving the management and simplification of administrative procedures.
Accordingly, through the NFC/RFID chip attached to each diploma, Nomion technology solution provides two main features: retrieving document information and verifying the authenticity of documents.
Users only need to use a smartphone equipped with an NFC chip and scan it on documents and papers (similar to reading a citizen identification card) to be able to read information in digital form, and at the same time verify the origin, authenticity, and non-counterfeit or counterfeit nature of the documents and papers.
Importantly, all information and document images are stored using blockchain technology, helping to ensure data security and safety during authentication.
The NFC chip attached to each document is unique to that document, and the chip on one document cannot be attached to another. The chip will be “dead” if there is physical impact to remove the chip and attach it to another document.
With this solution, agencies, businesses, organizations and employees can easily look up and authenticate diplomas and certificates anytime, anywhere with just a smartphone or computer with internet connection.
The self-authentication software is the result of months of research and collaboration between Hue College and technology start-up Phygital Labs.
