At the beginning of the program, MC Hoang Oanh and psychologist Dr. Le Thi Linh Trang (HCMC Cadre Academy) explored the secret box together. Both were surprised and did not understand why a child could send a set of cosmetics. Psychologist Dr. Le Thi Linh Trang could not guess what message the child wanted to send.
Little Kim Tu said that her siblings were joking and ruined her mother's cosmetics. Her mother scolded her first without asking her siblings. She felt very sad and hurt, not knowing who to share with. In response to the little girl's confession, MC Hoang Oanh hoped that her daughter would share her wishes so that her mother could understand her better. The girl's answer surprised MC Hoang Oanh and Dr. Linh Trang at her understanding: "I wish my mother could find out the reason before scolding me."
According to Kim Tu, her mother’s scolding happened not just once but many times. Cosmetics were just one of the unjust incidents that caused her to be scolded by her mother. “I was sad, bored, and angry when my mother broke and threw away the box of colored pencils that she had bought for me, just because she found out that I asked my sister to buy another set of colored pencils,” the child said indignantly.
Kim Tu's mother could not help but be moved when she heard her daughter's confession. She shared that when she came home from work, she saw the cosmetic box on her daughter's desk broken. This was a gift she gave herself, so she really treasured it. Therefore, when she saw the powder box on her daughter's desk, she assumed that her daughter did it and scolded her.
Tu's mother shared that she was too hot-tempered, even though she knew that scolding her son was wrong, she still kept quiet and did not apologize to him. After that incident, she would make it up to him in other ways, such as taking him out to play or eat. But for Tu, what he needed was: "I want you to make up with me, you say it. You don't need to take me out to eat, you just say it and hug me."
Sharing with MC Hoang Oanh, the child said that he did not share his sad feelings with anyone when his mother scolded him unjustly. Although he was close to his siblings, he still kept it to himself.
