Explaining the change of stage name, 1st Runner-up of the "Vietnamese Global Singing Contest 2023" said that Cat Tien has been her singing stage name for several years, however, after winning the prize at the above contest, she started to pay more attention to recorded music, and when learning about this platform, she decided to return to the correct name that her father gave her - Duc Thoa.
Although the name is a bit male, I really like this name, because it is a memory of my beloved father. He gave me his name with the desire that no matter what job I do, my daughter named Thoa must be wholeheartedly devoted to her heart and virtue to always be a good person" - singer Duc Thoa said.

With the debut album "Not mua" including 5 songs composed by musician Le Huyen Trang, musician Pham Tuan Ngoc arranged and arranged. The works were composed in many genres such as Pop Rock (Rain Not), R&B (Shooting), soul (Love Only You), Ballad (I Waiting for Tomorrow) and Symphony (Fore).
These are songs with very poetic lyrics, close to young people. Duc Thoa sang very gently and absorbtively. If the audience had known Duc Thoa (Cat Tien) before, and especially at the "Vietnamese Global Singing" contest, they would certainly be surprised by a singer who won the runner-up prize in the music genre with a contemporary folk sound, but sang Pop very sweetly, true to the music taste of today's youth.

Originally from a music teacher (currently Duc Thoa still teaches), Duc Thoa has many skills, experience, experience as well as a good vocal technique foundation. Therefore, when performing the songs in his debut album, Duc Thoa handled the technique very skillfully and delicately, and brought sincere emotions from the vibration of his heart to the song, making the audience feel "touched" in each of Duc Thoa's singing lines.
Born and raised in the sunny and windy Central region, although Duc Thoa's family had no one to do art, he had a clear, high- pitched voice full of inner strength. Born in a countryside with a strong folk culture, Duc Thoa has been imbued with the lullabies of her grandmother and mother since childhood. Growing up, that music genre was like a source of seepage through each breath, Duc Thoa had a sweet, warm voice.

When participating in the "2023 Global Vietnamese Singing" contest, Duc Thoa chose to mash-up two songs, "Tuy am" (composed by Xesi) and "An trong con ban chieu" (composed by Huynh Van, rum7), these are two light music songs but have a folk sound, so it is very convenient for Duc Thoa to show his talent.
A new face in the music industry, decided to "rolloy" with a light music album with many innovations as well as still maintain the "backbone" of a music teacher. Duc Thoa hopes that "Not mua" will be welcomed by the audience, so that the young female singer can continue to be motivated to walk on the challenging singing path ahead.
