Participating in the music night "Vo ve thanh xuan", diva My Linh had the opportunity to harmonize with the Watermelon band in the song "Trai tim ben le".
The song brings a nostalgic musical space, evoking the late 1990s when the voices of Bang Kieu, My Linh, and Qua Dua Hau crept into every street through music tapes.
The "Vo Ve Ve Thanh Xuan" program takes place on the evening of April 25 at the Athletic Sports Palace (Hanoi).
The music night took place under the direction of General Director Hoang Cong Cuong, producer Vo Van Tam and Music Director Ho Hoai Anh, along with the participation of many artists of different generations of Vietnamese music.
The program is built like an emotional journey, where music becomes a means to bring the audience back to their youthful years.
The music night also made the audience go from one surprise to another right from the opening performance of male singers Lam Truong, Khac Viet and Quoc Thien in the song "Kathy Kathy". 3 voices representing 3 generations standing on the same stage created an iconic image.
After completing the trio, Quoc Thien said that he was happy to sing with his childhood idols. Until now, he still remembers childhood memories of secretly copying Lam Truong's songs into notebooks.
Meanwhile, Khac Viet remembers the days when he was a student climbing fences to listen to Lam Truong sing in Yen Bai decades ago. He believes that "Anh Hai"'s songs are not only his youth but also many people's.
Continuing the memories of the 9X generation, Nguyen Tran Trung Quan appeared with "Em khong quay ve", "Danh cho em", "De em roi xa"... The male singer said he was very happy to be on the same stage with his young siblings, his idols.
The next round of the journey is for the 7X, 8X generation when they return to the glorious years harmonizing with SV96, Gala98 and the music of the Watermelon group with the songs "Rain", "Late Summer".
Members Bang Kieu, Tuan Hung and Anh Tu said that they felt that not only bringing the audience back to youth, but they themselves felt like they were reliving the time when they first stepped into the music path together.
The members of the Watermelon band also had humorous moments when recalling the old days of covering "Get Down" in a naive way. Tuan Hung laughed and recounted that at that time "singing English like Vietnamese", to the point of not daring to rewatch the MV where he sang in English.
Singer Cam Ly is also one of the artists who is enthusiastically cheered on when performing the series of songs "The person behind love - Why did you leave", "I will be the one who leaves".
Lam Truong stirred up the atmosphere again with "Forever", "Suddenly Listening to Your Steps Return", "Love is So Sad" and a harmonious duet with Quoc Thien's song "Fragile Love Returns".
Dong Nhi performed "Sweet", "Sweet Confession", "Lonely Sun" while Phuong Thanh closed the solo with "Is it still raining in Da Lat", "A long time ago", "Troubling Night"...
