On the afternoon of September 3rd, male champion Tran Tien Dung officially departed for Sri Lanka to compete in Manhunt International 2026. At Tan Son Nhat airport (HCMC), Tran Tien Dung performed a short catwalk and shouted "Vietnam" before completing exit procedures. Many colleagues such as male champion Do Gia Hung, MC Nguyen Hai Trieu, Thanh Thuan and Mr. Chu Tan Van - representative of the unit holding the copyright of the competition in Vietnam were present to say goodbye and cheer for him. Mr. Chu Tan Van also accompanied Tien Dung on this trip.
Explaining carrying a large amount of luggage, Tien Dung said that 90 kg of items are mainly clothes, shoes and accessories to meet the dense activity of the competition, including interviews, photoshoots, side events and official competition nights. Each outfit is carefully prepared by the team according to each individual idea.

Before departure, the representative of Vietnam shared that he felt restless, excited but confident because he had had a long time to prepare. Instead of creating pressure about titles or paying too much attention to opponents, Tien Dung chose to focus on maintaining his physical strength and spirit.
I want to show confidence, bravery and pride when representing Vietnam. In addition to appearance or modeling work, I want the audience to remember me through my communication skills, behavior and connection with international contestants," Tien Dung said.

Tran Tien Dung was born in 1997, from Phu Tho, with a height of 1.86 m. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Hanoi University of Science and Technology before pursuing a professional modeling career.
The Manhunt International 2026 competition is expected to attract about 40 contestants from countries and territories. The final night will take place on September 9 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
