Tran Tien Dung has just been announced as the representative of Vietnam to participate in Manhunt International 2026, taking place in Sri Lanka from September 3 to 9. This year's competition gathers about 40 contestants from many countries and territories.
Before leaving, Tien Dung spent most of his time preparing his physique, performance skills, communication and foreign languages. He said that communication and English are still skills that need to be further improved.
The male king was born in 1997, from Phu Tho, 1.86 m tall. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, used to work in the field of marketing before pursuing a modeling career.
In December 2025, Tien Dung surpassed 35 contestants in the Manhunt Vietnam final in Dong Nai to win the highest title, and also received the sub-award for the Most Beautiful Body.
After being crowned, he said that he had been under pressure from expectations. At one point, the male king doubted his ability to meet the expectations placed on him.
There were times when I was skeptical about myself before expectations," Tien Dung shared.
According to him, the process of growing up helps oneself realize that it is not necessary to live according to other people's goals. The important thing is to understand what one wants, know one's limits and maintain one's own bravery.
This view was also applied by Tien Dung when preparing for the international competition. Instead of placing heavily on a specific ranking, he wants to focus on completing each performance and best performing his ability.
“International representatives this year all have outstanding appearances and profiles. I think Vietnam has the ability to compete, but first of all, we must focus on what we can control,” he said.
At Manhunt International 2026, Tien Dung is expected to participate in performance, communication and community activities. He also prepared traditional costumes to introduce the image of Vietnam at the competition.
The two sets of ao dai prepared include a design inspired by the Nguyen Dynasty's dragon robe and the five-panel ao dai. Besides the competition, Tien Dung aims to introduce the image of a confident, mature and modern Vietnamese man.
I want to bring the image of a confident, mature, modern man and always spread the most beautiful images of Vietnamese people to the international arena," he said.
Manhunt International was first held in 1993, is one of the beauty contests for men. The contest assesses contestants through many criteria such as physique, performance, communication, health, career and community activities.
Vietnam has had many representatives participating in this playground. In 2017, Ngoc Tinh won the Manhunt International title, which is currently Vietnam's highest achievement in the competition.
