On the morning of March 8, Vinh Long General Hospital coordinated with Vinh Long Provincial Police and the local government of Nhi Truong commune to organize a program of medical examination, health consultation and free medicine distribution for people in the area.
The activity attracted nearly 200 people who are policy families, people in difficult circumstances and lonely elderly people to participate. The program aims to respond to activities to celebrate the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2030 term, and also towards the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25, 2016 - March 25, 2026).
At the program, people were given general examinations, health advice and some paraclinical techniques such as general abdominal ultrasound, thyroid, breast; electrocardiogram; disease prevention and health care advice by a team of doctors.
In addition, doctors and physicians also advise people on the benefits of periodic health check-ups, helping to detect early cardiovascular diseases, chronic diseases and some other dangerous diseases for timely treatment and improved quality of life.

Ms. Thach Thi Sone (86 years old, Nhi Truong commune) shared: "Being able to have doctors come to the locality to examine patients, provide health advice and distribute free medicine, people are very happy. Many elderly people have difficulty traveling, so being examined in the locality is very convenient.
According to Specialist Doctor I Le Hoang Vinh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Long General Hospital, the program aims to contribute to taking care of community health, especially policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances.
In the coming time, Vinh Long General Hospital will continue to coordinate with units and localities to organize many humanitarian medical examination activities, health education communication, contributing to raising awareness of health care for people.
