This partnership affirms Novartis' commitment to accompanying the health sector in implementing national health priorities through initiatives focused on healthcare, digital health development and ensuring equity in access to healthcare, gradually building a more sustainable and comprehensive healthcare system for Vietnamese people.
According to the memorandum of understanding, cooperation between the two sides will focus on implementing four key groups of activities: Supporting scientific exchange and building professional guidance; Strengthening capacity for medical examination, treatment and community health care; Promoting technology, scientific research and international cooperation; Monitoring and assessing impacts.
The memorandum also marks an important strategic shift from traditional cooperation activities to a systematic, sustainable and measurable intervention model to improve treatment outcomes, reduce the burden of disease and comprehensively improve the effectiveness of the health system.
Assessing the cooperation relationship with Novartis Vietnam, Dr. Ha Anh Duc - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health shared: "The National Target Program on Health Care, Population and Development for the period 2026-2035 sets very specific requirements for primary health care and digital health. The companionship of businesses like Novartis is an important complementary resource, especially in areas with many difficulties, and at the same time continues to affirm the role of public-private partnerships in improving the capacity of the health system for the health of Vietnamese people".
