Established right in the premises of the Da Nang City Rehabilitation Hospital, the "transfer house" is a practice area for daily functional activities of patients and people with disabilities, including a house or room with full functional rooms/departments and equipment and tools.
Here, after completing basic rehabilitation goals such as physical therapy, physical therapy, therapy activities, language therapy, etc., patients will be able to practice and practice daily functional activities such as: wearing clothes on their own, eating, bathing, using toilets, moving, cooking, etc. in an environment that simulates almost the same as in reality.

Dr. Nguyen Van Dung - Director of the Hospital said: "The unit will deploy this model from 2023 to support comprehensive rehabilitation for patients and people with disabilities. This is a specific step, demonstrating the initiative of the unit in implementing Decision No. 569/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the " redundance system development program for the period 2023-2030, vision to 2050".
This is a model to help patients and people with disabilities practice maximum independence before reintegrating with their families and communities. Treasurers Office effectively combines rehabilitation at the Hospital with community-based rehabilitation - Dr. Nguyen Van Dung added.
In addition to its professional function, the "transit hall" is also a place to organize many humane community activities such as: Activities such as swimming competitions, cultural exchanges held on major holidays such as Vietnam People's Day for the Disabled, Vietnam Doctors' Day... to help patients exercise and spread optimism.

According to Ms. Le Thi Thuy Vinh - Deputy Head of the Administrative Organization Department, since implementing this model, many patients have expressed their emotions and gratitude for returning to normal activities that they previously thought they could never do.
This also means that with the "transit house" model - Da Nang City Rehabilitation Hospital has been helping patients and people with disabilities remove psychological barriers to confidently reintegrate, reduce the burden on families and society, and at the same time affirm a correct direction in the field of comprehensive rehabilitation.
