On December 15, the City People's Committee issued Official Letter 4788/UBND-SYT requesting the city's departments, branches, associations, unions and the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones to strengthen prevention and control of seasonal flu, diseases caused by respiratory viral virus, hand, foot and mouth disease.

Currently, the weather is in the transition period of Fall - Winter. Irregular changes in temperature and humidity are favorable conditions for the agents of respiratory and digestive diseases to develop and spread. At the end of the year, there is an increase in exchanges, travel and organizing many crowded events, increasing the risk of disease outbreaks.
According to the infectious disease monitoring system, there has been a local increase in some diseases, especially seasonal flu, respiratory viral infections and hand, foot and mouth disease in some localities, including many cases of adults and children being hospitalized at specialized hospitals and end-of-line specialist hospitals.
To strengthen the implementation of prevention and control of seasonal flu epidemics, diseases caused by respiratory viral vectors and hand, foot and mouth disease in the city, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested agencies, units, localities, associations and unions of the city to continue to closely coordinate with the health sector and local authorities to strengthen propaganda and mobilization of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and the community to strictly implement disease prevention and control measures.
Monitor personal health, when there are signs of suspected infectious diseases, go to medical facilities for appropriate examination, consultation, treatment, proactively prevent diseases in crowded places and workplaces.
The Department of Health directs and guides the entire industry to synchronously deploy disease prevention and control measures. Strengthen supervision, detect cases early, thoroughly handle outbreaks to prevent spread; proactively coordinate with the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Pasteur Institute to assess risks and propose appropriate response measures.
Direct the enhancement of treatment capacity, emergency care, closely monitoring the developments of cases of disease, timely consultation and appropriate referral for cases with signs of seriousness, especially children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with underlying diseases.
Departments, branches and localities proactively provide information, disease prevention recommendations, and promote communication suitable for each target group. The education sector closely coordinates with the health sector in disease prevention and control; strengthens environmental sanitation, monitors students' health and promptly handles signs of disease.
The sectors of Industry and Trade, Culture, Sports and Tourism will strengthen inspection and guidance for service establishments to ensure hygiene, food safety and prevent infection in crowded places.
