Accordingly, a male patient with symptoms of a cough that lasted for about a year was treated many times but did not improve.
After that, the patient was hospitalized for coughing up fresh blood. During the examination and chest CT scan, a foreign object was discovered in the right original bronchi.

After nearly an hour of continuous operation, the team of the Endoscopy Department of Thong Nhat General Hospital successfully removed a piece of the snail shell, a foreign object that the patient had been suyving for a year without knowing.
According to a representative of Thong Nhat General Hospital, the endoscopy team successfully handled a difficult case, protecting the patient's airway safety. At the same time, it said: Chronic airway foreign bodies are a dangerous cause but are easily overlooked, especially when symptoms are not typical. Prolonged cough, recurrent pneumonia, or bloody cough need to be examined carefully and endoscoped when necessary.
