As of April 11, in Tu Minh ward, Hai Phong city, 5 cases of children with hand, foot and mouth disease have been recorded in residential groups Dia, Kim Xa, Lo Cuong A, Xuan Duong. Among them, 2 children are studying at kindergartens, and the remaining 3 children are at home.
According to the Ward Health Station, the cases are all at a mild level (grade 1), mainly appearing blisters on the hands, feet, and mouth; most do not have fever or only mild fever, have stable health and are being monitored and treated outpatiently at home.
Immediately after detecting the case, the Health Station reported to the Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control and implemented handling measures according to regulations; and at the same time sent officials to each household to guide environmental sanitation, disinfect utensils and toys with Cloramin B solution, and closely monitor close contacts.
Secondary cases have not been recorded yet. Disease prevention propaganda continues to be promoted to raise people's awareness of proactiveness.

Meanwhile, the Hai Phong City Center for Disease Control has organized inspections and supervision of hand, foot and mouth disease prevention and control and infectious diseases in Tan Hung ward.
The inspection team focused on streaming, screening, arranging separate examination areas for suspected children with the disease; checking compliance with treatment protocols, stockpiling of medicines and medical supplies; infection control procedures and communication work at the facility.
Faced with the increasing trend of hand, foot and mouth disease cases, the inspection team requested health stations to continue to strictly maintain epidemic prevention and control measures; closely coordinate with the government and educational institutions to detect early, isolate in time, and limit the risk of outbreaks, especially in children under 5 years old.
The health sector recommends that people proactively implement disease prevention measures such as maintaining personal hygiene, washing hands regularly with soap, cleaning children's belongings and taking children to medical facilities when there are signs of suspected illness.
