Many familiar or strange foods are at risk of causing allergies in some people, including seafood, insects such as ant eggs, peanuts, milk and many other foods.
Doctors said that it is noteworthy that many cases have never had an allergy history before, but can still experience anaphylaxis after using strange foods. This makes many people subjective, not recognizing early dangerous signs to go to the emergency room in time.
From the reality of treatment, medical experts recommend that people be careful when using strange foods or foods that are at risk of causing allergies, especially for people with allergic constitutions. When symptoms such as itching, urticaria, abdominal pain, nausea, shortness of breath after eating appear, it is necessary to quickly go to the nearest medical facility for timely treatment to avoid dangerous complications that may occur.
From the beginning of March 2026 to now, Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital has received and treated about 10 cases of hospitalization due to anaphylaxis after using strange foods.
