At Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, recently, there have been many cases of patients aged only 2526 who had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment for myocardial infarction.
Dr. Hoang Minh Quang, Head of the Department of Cardiology at Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, said that there are many causes of this condition, most of which come from unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking, alcohol abuse, eating a lot of fat, staying up late, prolonged stress, lack of exercise... These factors cause damaged blood vessel walls, the formation of plaque fibrosis and increase the risk of coronary artery blockage. If not treated promptly, myocardial infarction can cause death in a short time.
Recently, the hospital received a 31-year-old male patient, residing in Hai Phong, who was admitted to the hospital with severe angina, shortness of breath, and sweating. Electropathytical results and cardio testing determined that the patient had a myocardial infarction, severe fibromyalgia in multiple sections of the arteries and pre-peritoneal clogged arteries.
Immediately, the doctors proceeded to locate and place a coronary stent, helping the patient escape the critical condition. It is known that the patient has a history of smoking for many years and often stays up late. 2 days before being hospitalized, this person had a fleeting breast pain but subjectively did not go to the doctor.
"People need to pay close attention when symptoms of chest pain appear for about 15 minutes, accompanied by sweating and difficulty breathing. This can be a typical sign of myocardial infarction and should be taken to the nearest medical facility immediately, Dr. Hoang Minh Quang recommended.
The doctor also emphasized that to prevent the disease, each person needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle, quit smoking, limit alcohol, eat scientifically and exercise regularly. Regular health check-ups are an effective measure to help detect risks early and protect the heart.
