Attending the program were Dr. Ha Anh Duc - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health; Prof. Honorary Academician Nguyen Van De - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Private Hospital Association; along with leaders of Departments of Health, management agencies, hospitals, businesses and members of the Executive Committee of the Branch Association.
Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van De said that Ho Chi Minh City is the economic locomotive of the whole country, in which private healthcare plays an increasingly important role in expanding healthcare services, investing in technology and developing specialized techniques. The establishment of the Southern Branch is expected to gather resources, improve management capacity and promote professional cooperation between hospitals.
Dr. Ha Anh Duc assessed that the establishment of the Branch is of practical significance, and emphasized that private healthcare is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese healthcare system. The Director requested the Branch to strengthen membership connections, promote technology transfer, digital transformation and coordination with the public healthcare system, thereby contributing to improving the quality of people's healthcare.

At the program, the Executive Committee of the Branch for the 2026-2029 term was officially launched. Madam Tran Thi Lam - Founder Chairman of Hoa Lam Group, Head of the Strategy Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Health Zone - was trusted to hold the position of Chairman of the Branch. The Executive Committee includes leaders and experts from many hospitals, universities and health organizations in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces and cities.
Orienting activities for the period 2026-2027, the Branch focuses on professional connection, promoting technical transfer, digital transformation and improving management capacity. In particular, international cooperation is identified as one of the pillars to elevate Vietnam's private healthcare.
Dr. Truong Vinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Sub-Association - said that the Sub-Association will aim to expand cooperation between hospitals, strengthen international links and gradually approach prestigious medical standards such as IHF, HMA, AACI, JCI.
With the motto "Solidarity - Innovation - Serving", the Branch Association hopes to become a bridge for cooperation, integration and development, creating more value for patients, communities and the Vietnamese health system.
