Recorded at the Center for Management of dormitories and Urban Areas of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign of Ho Chi Minh City held the opening ceremony of the 13th "Red Journey" program. The event combined to honor outstanding blood donors and launch a Blood Donation Festival with the theme "Red Drops from the City Named after Uncle Ho".
The program attracted about 600 attendees. Of which, about 300 delegates, cadres, volunteers, union members, and young people were present at the opening ceremony, and 300 people directly participated in donating blood on the spot. On the same day, many other mobile blood donation points were also organized simultaneously in the city, with the expectation of receiving nearly 1,000 units of blood to serve emergency and treatment work.
The Red Journey 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City aims to improve the quality of propaganda and mobilize people to participate in voluntary blood donation. In particular, the program encourages people to donate large volumes of blood (350450ml), donate blood periodically and repeat regularly, thereby ensuring a stable and safe blood supply for the health sector.

A new point in this year's program is the promotion of digital transformation applications. The online platform giotmauvang.org.vn will be actively deployed to make the blood donation process transparent and modernized, making it easier for people to register, look up blood donation history as well as test results after donation.
In addition to receiving blood, "Red Journey" is also an opportunity to convey humane messages, educate the younger generation about patriotism, the spirit of living for the community, and arouse the spirit of mutual love in society.
Within the framework of the campaign, the Organizing Committee aims to mobilize at least 5,000 people to register to donate blood, organize many fixed and mobile blood donation points throughout the launch week.
Not only a professional activity, "Red Journey" is also an event of great social significance, spreading love and connecting millions of kind-hearted people. The program also contributes to affirming Ho Chi Minh City's pioneering role in the voluntary blood donation movement, for a healthy, sharing and humane Vietnam.
