On June 3, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion informed that last week, the Institute received many complaints from people in Ho Chi Minh City about receiving calls and messages claiming to be from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, announcements related to health status after donating blood.
However, after checking, the Institute confirmed that these cases did not donate blood in Hanoi and were not classified as blood received by the Institute. Notably, the Institute did not call to announce the health results as reflected in the image provided by the people.
The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion affirmed that it only uses the Blood Donation Center 0976.990.066 to consult and support blood donors. All phone numbers, messages or links that do not come from this official channel are untrustworthy.
The Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center has also issued a warning about the above phenomenon, and at the same time recommended that people:
Do not provide personal information to strange calls.
Absolutely do not access links of unknown origin.
Only contact and receive information from the official blood receiving unit.
