On April 22, Round 1 of the 2025 National Billiards & Snooker Championship officially ended after many days of exciting competition.
Taking place from April 13 with about 1,200 players from 25 units across the country participating in 6 men's singles events including: Carom 1 tank, Carom 3 tank, Pool 9-ball, Pool 10-ball, Snooker 6 red bi and English billiards, in a knockout format to select 16 excellent athletes in each event to participate in the national finals. For the 3- stripe carom event alone, the number chosen is 32 players.
After 10 days of fierce competition, the tournament has temporarily ended. The home team Ba Ria - Vung Tau had an impressive performance, with 8 players passing round 1 participating in the final round, scheduled to take place in June 2025 in Vung Tau City.
The Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to players with high achievements such as: Chau Hong Thai (Dong Nai) excellently won the first prize in the 3-cushion carom event; Nguyen Minh Tien (Hanoi) and Nguyen Thanh Phong (Da Nang) topped the 2 groups competing in the 1-cushion carom event.
In addition, Pham Van Kien (Da Nang) topped the Pool 9-ball event; and Le Quang Trung (Hanoi) topped the Pool 10-ball event.
In the Snooker and English billiards events, Hanoi players affirmed their superior strength when they took all leading positions after the end of Round 1 of the 2025 National billiards & snooker Championship.
