Not only sporty competition, the event also creates a unique impression when exploiting the very different beauty of Ho Chi Minh City - a vibrant, modern and brightly lit city when night falls. Taking place around the end of March, the weather is stable, with little rain, and pleasant temperatures at night, the tournament is an ideal choice for the runner community to start a new season.
With a scale of 13,000 athletes, the event continues to be in the group of the largest races in Vietnam, contributing to promoting the sports and tourism movement in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2026, the race takes place for 3 days, from March 20 to March 22. In the first two days, the Expo area and race-kits are open to serve athletes, accompanied by many experiential activities and booths from sponsors and partners, creating a vibrant atmosphere before the competition.
The official competition night starts from the early morning of March 22, when thousands of runners start together, awakening the rhythm of movement in the city center at night. The race includes 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. Starting from Tao Dan Park, athletes will cross central roads and familiar symbols such as Independence Palace, Bitexco building, Ba Son bridge, Thu Thiem bridge, along the roads along the Saigon River before finishing in the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden area.
Starting at night helps the track run smoothly, the temperature is cool, creating conditions for athletes to optimize achievements, and at the same time enjoy a quiet but still full of energy Ho Chi Minh City.
In parallel with adult distances, the Kun Marathon for children aged 6 to 10 will take place on the morning of March 21 at the Zoo and Botanical Gardens, with a distance of about 700 m and completely free of charge. This is a safe sports playground, helping children train physically, increase confidence and create more family engagement experiences.
To ensure professional and safe operation, the organizers arranged 15 water stations and 12 health stations along the runway, along with more than 1,000 volunteers and medical staff, local police. The support system includes water, electrolytes, fruits, cold sponge... are reasonably distributed, combined with ensuring competition lighting conditions, contributing to improving the experience and performance of athletes.
